Alianna Barrow

Eagan, 10th grade
2025-2026 Trailblazer Fellow

Ali’s bold dream is to learn multiple languages and become a historian, using her knowledge to better understand the world. Ali will use the Trailblazer Fellowship grant to travel to Japan with her school this summer. She’s excited to experience Japanese culture and language in a hands-on way.

Ali is involved in a variety of activities, including soccer, volleyball, alpine skiing, costume crew, the Black Student Union, and the Japanese Club. She enjoys taking on new challenges and expanding her skills in different areas.

In her free time, Ali loves to travel and take photos, capturing the beauty of new places and moments. She believes that travel is a way to learn about the world and herself. Ali says, “I'm really proud that I've found something I love and have the perseverance to pursue it. Throughout my life, I've always talked about wanting to be a fashion designer, an artist, or something my family expected of me. But I've come to realize that those were just hobbies or things I felt pressured to do. I've now set my sights on becoming an important female history guru, and that really means a lot to me.”
