An adult who serves as a positive influence and support to you in reaching your goals by offering advice, encouragement, and guidance. For example, your mentor could be a teacher, coach, school counselor, neighbor, or community member.
Ideally, a mentor is someone who doesn’t live in your home, as we aim to foster mentorship relationships with adults outside your immediate family. However, we understand that cultural and personal circumstances may differ, and in some cases, a mentor may reside in the same home. -
